To all 2005 NASS Participants and Friends: Keystone-Buckeye Hundesport is pleased to update our NASS Show Results with the Judge's final critiques from each of the classes. In addition, you will find photos of some of the top dogs in each class. We had hoped that this information would be published in the upcoming issue of the WDA Newsletter. For a variety of reasons, this was not possible. Special thanks to Ute Frantz for transcribing and translating the final critiques from the show videos. And special thanks to Christine Mandela for her expertise in bringing all of this information together. We are also working hard to offer participants a much more complete summary of the NASS in the form of an electronic book. This will include the official standing examination critiques of every dog presented. Ute Frantz has devoted hundreds of volunteer hours to transcribe and translate this material from the dictated judges tapes. A three-generation pedigree of each dog will be printed, along with all catalogue and critique information. We are also at work compiling a bloodline chart similar to what is found in the Foto Urma books from the German Sieger shows for all VA dogs and also for the top 5 dogs in each class. Where available, we will include ZW ratings, hip, elbow and DNA results from the SV Genetics CD. It is our hope that this information will give American breeders a valuable research resource. As most of you know, Urban Petersen from Foto Urma was committed to come to the 2005 NASS. Two days before the event, he was given strict doctor's orders to stay at home. We had hoped to have a deep resource of show photos from Foto Urma to draw upon for our book. Cindy Nolan did a wonderful job--on extremely short notice--to cover the still photography for the show. In order to make our book as complete as possible, we are asking all participants who wish to do so, to supply digital photos of their dogs for inclusion. We would also be grateful to receive candid photos that you think tell particularly interesting stories about the show, its dogs and its people!
